FRAMES AND FLOWERS
Nature interior inspiration
February 1, 2015
Wivola has 4 tiled stoves. They are all dated at the beginning of the 1900. The house was ready 1911 and the stoves are individual each.
Finland had 4-5 factories which manufactured tiled stoves then. My
journey is to find out where the stoves came from. One stove is at
the attic in the oldest building of the estate, the small red storage house.
These stove ceramics are white. Maybe it will be built up one day!
THE GREEN ROOM
The green room has green tiled stove. The even tiles are dated from the 1600 century and were very modern at the time. Jugend which took inspiration from the nature and it´s fruits,
greens, flowers and fauna had a strong influence in architecture and interior design at the beginning of the 1900 century.
THE LADY OF THE HOUSE
The yellowish, delicate tiled stove in the living room is the most beautiful
of them all. It seems it might have been ordered from another factory, so
fancy are the top decorations which we shall present later on. All heating
of the Wivola is done by these four beauties, 1 white round oven in the
master bedroom and 4 electric heaters.
